Alkarah is a small breeding kennel located in western New Jersey in the hills of rural Hunterdon County. The goal at Alkarah is to breed German Shepherd Dogs to the A.K.C. standard with emphasis on good temperament and OFA certified hips and elbows. The puppies that are not show quality are sold only to good loving qualified pet homes. We are fortunate to have developed a reputation over the years for selectively breeding quality animals and enjoy a clientele who will wait for one of our puppies rather than go elsewhere.

We love two things: dogs and people. We believe that the enrichment a dog can bring to a person’s life is unparalleled. Our process involves learning about each family and pairing them with a puppy from one of our litters that will thrive as a part of their household.

We are a small Kennel in Absarokee, Montana, about 60 miles north of Yellowstone Park and 50 miles from Billings Montana.We have three Bitches and will produce a litter or two/year. We are small enough to give the care that is required to have a well-rounded and socialized puppy ready for a new home. We Love the German Shepherd dog and have owned and trained them for over 30 years. I have been involved with German Shepherds for over 20 years. I am breeding and training a TOTAL, balanced German Shepherd Dog; one that can demonstrate correct temperament through working tests and/or the sport of Schutzhund, one that has correct structure and is striking to behold. My goal is to breed dogs that can be shown in the SV style show ring and be a fun sport dog, a companion, and a dog that exemplifies the beauty and structural soundness of the breed, all at the same time.

One of the most important factors in breeding dogs, (especially the German shepherd dog) is in the quality of your breeding program. Naturally, you would think that if we bred “THE” champion sire to a champion dam, we would eliminate all genetic risks. This is not the case.However, with a superior pair of dogs we can establish a solid foundation to overcome problems in the future. Also, as a breeder WE ARE obligated to breed above standard, with the ultimate goal of producing the “PERFECT” German shepherd dog.

We are a small family operated kennel located in the Northern Piedmont area of North Carolina.
