Banner Wheatens, Reg. is a small Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier breeding program located in Somerset, NJ. Our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club and the name “Banner” is registered by AKC for our exclusive use naming Wheatens. We are hobby breeders of Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers and together, we have been Banner Wheatens since 1998.
We are hobby breeders breeding “show quality” but all of our dogs are family pets first and foremost. We give equal consideration to Temperament, Health and Conformation, for a well balanced, healthy, family pet who will be a great representation of the Wheaten Breed. We are not a “kennel” and breed a litter only occasionally, about once every 2 years or so. As a member of the SCWTCA, we breed only in accordance with the code of ethics.
Our lives are greatly enriched by the companionship of our dogs. Everyday life takes on a special sparkle and they remind us to cherish each moment. Competing in conformation events hones our breeding program and keeps us connected to friends. Sharing our dogs through therapy work at schools & nursing homes blesses others (and ourselves)! Our joy comes full circle when our limited breeding program allows us to place well-matched puppies into loving homes, enlarging and enriching the ‘Blessing Family’.
Burdigan Wheatens are located in Spokane, WA. We are committed to breeding Wheatens that meet the standard for beauty (we want our Wheatens to look like Wheatens and act like Wheatens, plus do well in the show ring), but temperament and health is most important in our breeding program and for our puppies. I have owned Wheatens since 1991, and have actively competed in breed shows and a variety of performance events since then. I breed Wheatens on a limited basis, my first litter was in 1997. My husband has owned Wheatens since 1997 and has competed primarily in agility. We have three young children who enjoy the dogs (and keep us busy!) We have occasional litters, usually when we are planning to keep a puppy. We strive to produce healthy Wheatens with sound temperaments that are wonderful companions and can successfully compete in both the breed ring and performance events.
We are a family run hobby breeder who dedicate our lives to preserving and improving Soft Coated Wheaten and Welsh Terriers. We offer proven AKC Champion bloodlines and breed occasionally for show placement and companionship. We run complete genetic and health testing of all our dogs prior to breeding.
We built and own a small kennel in South Central Iowa and have been retired from the “rat race” since 2002. Rest assured that we take very good care of all of our puppies during the first 8 weeks (and beyond!) to ensure you are getting a healthy puppy. We are particular about who the prospective new owners are because we want all of our puppies to find a good, loving, and safe homes. We have been raising Beagles and Wheatens for over 25 years. We are USDA inspected and are also licensed by the state of Iowa.
We are committing ourselves to bettering this breed and to helping other individuals and families to know and enjoy the wonderful gift that Wheatens bring to life. All three of our dogs are healthy and have passed all health tests required for them. At home, they’ve taught each other how to attack a vacuum cleaner and announce visit visitors (we call it a “wheaten greetin”). Our dogs Al and Frankie are Grand Champion dogs in the AKC; not an easy title to achieve.
We raise and spoil Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. Our Wheatens are AKC registered. They are our family pets and we adore them. Wheatens make an excellent addition to a family. We live in Northeast Tennessee, between Knoxville and Bristol.
I have owned Wheatens since 1982, and I have been breeding Wheatens since 1992. I am active in the world of Wheatens and dog showing and I am an involved member of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America. I feel certain that I would not have persevered, nor been successful in showing and breeding, without the guidance of Marjorie Shoemaker, who continues to be a guiding force in my breeding efforts.
Our Wheatens are loved family members that live in our household. We do a limited amount of breeding. We are active members of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of Northern California and follow their Code of Ethics. They are hobby breeders in central New Jersey who are preserving and bettering Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers through a carefully thought out breeding program that has added new blood to the North American Wheatens from Irish and German dogs. “Heirloom Wheatens” is located just outside of Denver on the eastern slope of the Rockies We have almost three acres, all fenced so our Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers have a lot of running room. Patrice Chevalier and Robert Bergman have been in love with Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers for over 33 years. Our goal as a breeder is to produce litters that will positively augment the breed while aligning with the breed standard. We breed with a keen focus on health and outstanding temperaments and performance energy. Based on our current breeding objectives we produce a smaller number of litters than some other breeders.
Hello, my name is Max York. I have been breeding Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers for the past 15 years and have recently moved to Eaton, Ohio as ROCKY RUN WHEATENS. Our dogs carry a two year genetic Health Guarantee. All Puppies receive their first vaccinations five to six weeks after birth.
We are American Kennel Club registered small hobby breeders of Kerry Blue Terriers and Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. We strive to breed dogs of the highest quality. I brought home my first Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier in July 2005. Mackanme Wheatens, Reg., is located in Gig Harbor, Washington, which is just over the Narrows Bridge from Tacoma, and about 40 miles from Seattle. All of our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). I chose this kennel name because Mack was our first Wheaten and, truly, everything started with Mack an Me!
