We are a small exhibitor of 13 and 15 inch Beagles and Wirehair Dachshunds located in Northern California. Our goal is to perserve the breed, while improving the most desirable traits of the family dog, such as temperament, trainability, and intelligence. Our Beagles are household pets with careers, which include conformation, obedience, and agility. We have recently started a side project of showing and breeding Dachshunds under the Rancor name.

I have owned and loved dogs my whole life, growing up with a Basset Hound and several lab mixes. I enjoyed the loving temperament of the basset, but also the more outgoing personality and activeness of the labs. When researching the breed I wanted for my own family, the Beagle was the perfect choice. They have the wonderful tenacious hound attitude that I love and the more athletic body that I wanted. The Beagle’s compact size, go-get-um personality, good looks, friendliness and sensitivity make them an ideal dog for many families. Don’t mistake their stubbornness for lack of brains, the Beagle is highly intelligent. The beagle is a wonderful dog, but not for every situation. We do not have puppies all the time, but when we breed, it is our goal to breed Beagles that are beautiful, healthy and of wonderful temperament. Our puppies are lovingly hand-raised in our home where they get plenty of handling and socialization.

In recent years we have been very fortunate with our breeding program, producing several champions including multiple National Beagle Club Specialty Award Of Merit Winners, the National Beagle Club Winner’s Dog and Best Bred-by Exhibitor in show and a Multiple Best In Specialty Winner.

All three of our dogs are healthy and have passed all health tests required for them. At home, they’ve taught each other how to attack a vacuum cleaner and announce visit visitors (we call it a “wheaten greetin”). Our dogs Al and Frankie are Grand Champion dogs in the AKC; not an easy title to achieve.
The last decade has galvanized the modern American Bulldog into three types: bully, standard, and hybrid. We are proud to include the best of these original-type dogs in our bloodline.

Caramuru Kennel was established in 2006 when Fernanda fell in love with a puppy (SpitFire). That little puppy stole her heart from day one, and driven by this love, she decided to make the relationship the start of a new beginning.
Fernanda was already absolutely in love with the Boston Terrier breed, when in one of the dog shows they went to, her husband Roger met a French Bulldog and was awestruck at how gorgeous and sweet they were. It all started as a joke, but shortly after that day Fernanda and her husband were studying yet another breed and planning to bring home their first French Bulldog.
I am a small hobby breeder and dog trainer located in Northern California. I strive to breed for a dog closest to National club standard, focusing on health and temperment. My name is Phyllis and I have been raising puppy’s since 1991. I am located in Lincoln, CA just outside of Sacramento. I live in the country where my dogs live the country life. Our Boerboels are registered with SABBS and AKC. We have taken the time to build our lines from scratch and are very pleased thus far. We will only breed with BB’s that meet the breed standards; show even, steady temperaments; and have had their health screening completed. While we attempt to expand our breeding program, we want to ensure that all our Boerboels remain family members.
Temperament is one of our foremost concerns, and we strive to produce sweet- natured, outgoing, people-oriented pups that are gentle with children, tolerant with outsiders, eager to please their owners, and protective of their family and surroundings without being aggressive towards other dogs or people. All pups are born in a home bedroom and raised there until they are 3 – 4 weeks old.All of our regular breeding stock is OFA-certified or otherwise radiographed clear of hip dysplasia.
