We are Ted & Laurie Soloski, owners of Kentfield Kennels Labrador Retrievers, a small hobbyist kennel located in the beautiful countryside of Sebastopol, California, just 1 hour north of San Francisco.
Here at Kentfield Kennels we are firmly committed to breeding the traditional English Style Labrador Retriever that will become your best friend, a loving family member, hunting companion, service dog, or will be out there competing in one of the many events you can enjoy with your dog.
Temperament is one of our foremost concerns, and we strive to produce sweet- natured, outgoing, people-oriented pups that are gentle with children, tolerant with outsiders, eager to please their owners, and protective of their family and surroundings without being aggressive towards other dogs or people. All pups are born in a home bedroom and raised there until they are 3 – 4 weeks old.All of our regular breeding stock is OFA-certified or otherwise radiographed clear of hip dysplasia.
We are a family owned 20 acre ranch, nestled near the foothills of Northern California, in a small town called Arbuckle. Our Boston Terriers and German Shepherds are our pride and joys and they rule the ranch! We are not a kennel, just a family who loves Boston Terriers and German Shepherds! We breed/whelp/raise our Bostons and Shepherds in our homes and only have a few litters a year! Our dogs are our extended family…they are not just pets they are like our children and we love them dearly.
HFABs is lovingly owned and run by myself Joel Cheney and my wife Marina Cheney. Conformation is a big deal to us, but we understand that there is more to each dog than just a pretty head, good conformation, and sound hips. The dog must be sound mentally also. It should be able to handle reasonable amounts of stress. If you think we might put a pup in your care and we have something you are interested in, please contact us.
We are active with our dogs in many activities like hunting, conformation, biking and just playing. Our dogs are family first ! We train and practice mostly at home and at local clubs. Our dogs live in the house and are fed a premium diet, while also getting the mental and physical stimulation they need to be happy healthy German Shorthairs!
