We are a small hobby breeder specializing in Chihuahuas for over 30 years. We breed our Chihuahuas for a bubbly, outgoing personality and a sound body and mind. We are located in the small town of Bristol, right in the borders of Virginia and Tennessee. Our biggest goal is to place each one into a loving, caring, proper environment with a loving family.

We are a small hobby breeder of toy and miniature schnauzers. Our goal is to breed for temperament, conformation and color. We offer liver, parti, liver pepper, liver/tan and standard colors. Our dogs are registered AKC with limited registration offered. Our puppies are vet checked and receive vaccinations in our home by our licensed Veterinarian.
In our Mountain Top Kennel I take pride in caring for each and every dog. I believe every dog needs time to run, play, and have individual attention as a part of my family. I strive to provide the best quality of life and veterinary care for each dog so that each one is healthy and well acclimated.
I read and follow breed standards from AKC AND UKC to try to make sure my dogs are correct as possible. I always try to improve my breedings.
My dogs hunt often for that is what they were bred to do … their paws and pads are rough and tough – some like to swim, some just like to lay around, some enjoy the show ring while others want to find the RAT but each one is loved dearly.
When I retire them from breeding I try to find a home that fits their lifestyle so they will get the experience of being in a family where they do not share attention but rather are the top dog for their remaining years. I usually retire dogs when they are 5 or 6 years old.
I do monthly medicines for worming, heartworms and flea medication. Before breeding they are medically assessed by our veterinarian for PLL, patella luxation, and eye exams.
My dogs spend time in my home but most sleep and eat in an outside kennel that is air conditioned and heated where they have a doggie door to go outside to a dog run where they can go potty or just go outside when they want. My kennel has four paddocks to separate them to play during the day.
I take pride in my kennel and love the families we connect with when they purchase one of our dogs and stay in touch when possible to watch them grow and share fun times. My pups are whelped and raised in my home I use a program called Puppy Culture to help them have an easy transition and be ready for their new homes.

Well bred West German Show Lines can be used for a variety of purposes, such as IPO, Show, Search and Rescue, Therapy, Service or as Magnificent Family Companions. Von Mathausen West German Show Lines are bred for Beauty, Intelligence, Temperament, Loyalty, Courage, Working Ability, and Show.
I breed for health and temperament. Some puppies are placed for show and others are placed as pet/companion. Puppies get all shots, wormings, tail docking, dew claws, micro chipping and checkups done at the vets office. Puppies are started on potty training, basic obedience skills, crate trained, and gets used to regular grooming with combs and scissors & bath time as they will be subjected to it constantly thru out their lives. Current member of the SCWTCA.org(our Wheaten National club).
Brushy Mountain Shorthairs is a farm and kennel located in the foothills of Western North Carolina. It is owned and operated by Ron Gaddy who has owned, bred and hunted AKC registered German Shorthaired Pointers since 1966.
We have been involved in the ownership, breeding, raising and showing of Mastiffs since 1984. It is our love for this breed that keeps us motivated and involved. We consider dog ownership a privledge and dedicate our efforts to maintaining the hobby breeder as the “gatekeeper” for our breed.

We participate in American Kennel Club (AKC), United Kennel Club (UKC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), and International All-Breed Canine Association (IABCA) conformation showing, as well as performance disciplines such as Rally-Obedience, Formal Obedience, Barn Hunt, Coursing Ability, Agility, Scentwork, and Pack Hikes. My girls currently have over 120 different titles in conformation and performance and dozens of non-titling awards and achievements between the four adults. They have also been trained to do their traditional breed job of sniffing out rabbits and have competed in a few field trials.
