I acquired my first Irish Setter in 1989 from a pet store. (Not the recommended way to buy a dog!) She quickly stole my heart, and I fell in love with the breed. Unfortunately, I lost her several months later when some neighborhood children let her loose from her yard and she was killed by a car. I will never forget the pain… It was then that I set about finding another Irish Setter, this time from a reputable breeder. I only wanted a pet and bought a female with an overbite. The breeder of this girl sent me to go watch a dog show in my area. I was hooked immediately! I quickly acquired two more dogs for show. My show career was put on hold when I moved to Saudi Arabia to work at the American School. Of course, I took my dogs with me.
We breed from the best to the best perspective. Utilizing proven gene pools to produce Consistent , High percentage Litters. Color is not the first priority but we do try to raise pretty dogs…. Our names are Steve and Melissa Cox. We live on 20 beautiful acres in rural Southwest Missouri. We treat all of our dogs like family. They are extremely spoiled and live in our home. We have lots of room for them to play and roam. We have 3 teenage boys who love rough-housing with them too, so they are all very socialized as puppies.

WE ONLY PLACE OUR PUPPIES WITH A LOVING FAMILY AND GOOD ENVIRONMENT. WE ALSO KENNEL OUR PUPPIES WHEN THEIR FAMILY GOES ON TRIPS.
