All our dogs are born, raised and live in our house as a part of our family, kenneling dogs is against our philosophy of dog ownership. Our hounds have 24 hours a day access to the one acre-big securely fenced back yard via a dog door and they all live as one pack. That’s why, when breeding, we pay close attention to producing happy, friendly dogs with easy going temperaments. Health issues are of paramount importance for us too and we do careful health evaluation of our breeding stock that includes DNA testing for breed specific disorders.
We were blessed to start our breeding program with exceptional breed specimens that resulted from dedication and hard work of many generations of breeders in this country and around the world. Now it is our turn to share our success with fellow breeders – our beagles are making an impact in show rings and whelping boxes not only in Western hemisphere but in many European countries as well.

Honey Pot Hounds is a small, home based hobby kennel in southern New Hampshire owned by Cindy and Jim Williams. It all started with a “Free” Beagle named Buster. He was given to us from a local hunter and came bearing the label “Failed Hunting Dog” and carrying a lot of emotional baggage. But inside that sad little Beagle was a friendly soul with a lot of spirit and so our love of the little hounds was born.
We do not ship dogs or puppies and we do not sell to pet stores or brokers.
Our Beagles are occasionally available to carefully screened companion or competition homes where they will live in the house as a valued member of the family.

We take pride in the quality of the beagles we have produced over the last 35 years.
Many of these dogs have transitioned to the “Rainbow Bridge”. Of those still remaining-we appreciate all the wonderful families who are providing wonderful loving caring homes.
These dogs are first and foremost their treasured family members before a winning show dog.
Please feel free to browse through our history.
At Nor’easter, we carefully plan our litters and breed for sound health and temperament, and perform all recommended health testing on our breeding stock prior to breeding. Litters are raised in our home, so puppies are exposed to normal household sights, sounds and smells from an early age. Puppies also receive Early Neurological Stimulation during their first sixteen days, which stimulates their hormonal, adrenal and pituitary systems, and helps them to better withstand stressful situations as they mature into adulthood. Puppies typically stay together with their litter-mates until at least nine weeks of age, which aids in the development of their social manners.
Show quality puppies stay at Nor’easter, where they will complete their AKC Championship prior to their own role in our breeding program. Puppies (and occasionally adult dogs) which might not excel in the show ring are sold to approved homes, with a health guarantee and contract.
Nor’easter is committed to our dogs for their lifetime, so our breeding program stresses quality, not quantity. On average, we breed one litter per year, and we do not keep a ‘waiting list’ unless we have a breeding planned, an expectant mother, or a litter of puppies ‘on the ground’. If we don’t anticipate having a dog or puppy available for your family, we would be happy to make referrals to other reputable breeders throughout the US. We are both Regular and Supporting Members of the National Beagle Club of America, and AKC Breeders of Merit.
Welcome to Milroc Beagles located in Lexington, NC. We take great pride in raising smart, loving, and good quality

Welcome to Copper Sky Beagles!
We participate in American Kennel Club (AKC), United Kennel Club (UKC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), and International All-Breed Canine Association (IABCA) conformation showing, as well as performance disciplines such as Rally-Obedience, Formal Obedience, Barn Hunt, Coursing Ability, Agility, Scentwork, and Pack Hikes. My girls currently have over 120 different titles in conformation and performance and dozens of non-titling awards and achievements between the four adults. They have also been trained to do their traditional breed job of sniffing out rabbits and have competed in a few field trials.
y family acquired our first Newfoundland while I was in high school. Her name was Kodi and she came from a puppy mill. Unfortunately Kodi developed a number of orthopedic problems as she matured but was a typical Newfoundland in temperament.
While in college I acquired my second Newfoundland, Chablis, after what I thought was a lot of research. Chablis ended up with what we now know as forelimb anomaly . After 4 major surgeries at Ohio State University she ended up living a long healthy life but having a breeder who had no interest in her problems was disheartening.
In 1992 I purchased my foundation bitch Taylor from Diane Broderick of Amity Newfoundlands in New Jersey. The following year I purchased my second foundation bitch from Kathy Hamilton of Old Bay Newfoundlands in Virginia. I have to thank them as well as many other breeders that have mentored me along the way. You helped me get a great start into the world of Newfoundland dogs.
I also must thank Becky Reynnells who came to stay at Top Shelf in 2004. With her help showing and grooming the dogs Top Shelf has achieved awards beyond any of my expectations.
Last but not least – a big thank you to Amy Lane of Allegiance Newfoundlands who I have co-owned dogs with over the years. She has spent countless hours developing and updating our new Top Shelf website. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

We have a small hobby kennel located in southwestern Pennsylvania, just south of Uniontown, PA. Having owned beagles all of my life, starting with my grandfather taking me hunting with his beagles and it blossomed from there. Through the years, I have hunted, was a member of the Keystone & Waynesburg Beagle Clubs, active in both clubs and participating in the brace field trials.
In 1982, I changed to the confirmation side. Currently, I am a Supporting Member of the National Beagle Club and an approved mentor. I am very dedicated to the beagle, being very cognizant of the breed’s type and functionality. This has been the primary focus in my breeding program. Because of this, I have been very fortunate to have finished several champions.
I have been very honored to be selected by supporting membership of the National Beagle Club to judge the 2019 NBC National Specialty Sweepstakes.
oan has been raising, training, breeding and showing dogs for 60 years. She has trained and shown successfully in conformation, obedience, and agility; beginning this life long passion with her favorite breed, St. Bernards. She began breeding Beagles in 2004. Everwind Beagles began with Ch. Tung’s Everwind Talia who was purchased as a puppy and the first Beagle Joan finished for a championship. Talia was bred to the famous Uno’s (Ch. K-Runs Park Me In First – The first Beagle to ever win Best In Show at Westminster) father, GCH. Windkist A Walk In The Park (Parker) for two different litters. The first litter consisted of three puppies. Two are champions, Specials at that, and have group placings to their credit. They are GCh. Everwind’s A Tryst In The Park and Ch. Everwind’s Taylor Maid To Fit. The third has 31 points with a 4pt. major before being pulled from the show ring. And the second litter gave us GCHB Int. Ch. Everwind’s A Chance Encounter In The Park.
Joan’s Beagles have been recognized worldwide for their quality, correctness, and for conforming to the breed standard. She has bred and shown four generations to their champions and beyond and has fourth generations puppies that show promise of continuing her winning ways. Furthermore, Joan is proud to welcome Jordan LaPlaca as a partner in her Beagle breeding program.
Our journey into Beagles began in 1993 when our daughter Stacey came home from school announcing she would like to show dogs instead of getting into sports at school or community leagues.
Thus the search was on for the breed that would fit us. After weeks of going through
AKC’s The Complete Dog Book on breed standards we narrowed our search to six
breeds.
We spent the next several months at local dog shows investigating the breeds talking
to owners, breeders and handlers. In only a few shows we knew that Beagle would
soon be a big part of our life.
As the search began Stacey was able to get a rescue Cairn Terrier from a friend to
start in the Junior Showmanship ring. After a couple wrong starts in Beagles we were
blessed to get Bayou Oaks Frostbite, AKA Frankie. We’re sure it was short for
Frankenstein. With her we knew we were hooked for life and so the next leg of our
journey began.
There’s much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about the dog show world and our beloved beagle breed .
We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
Paul , Corinne , Derrick and Rachael live in a small community outside the Salt Lake Valley in Utah. SeventhSon Kennels was established in 1985. Our kennel name came fairly easily… Paul is the “SeventhSon” in a family of 10 children.
Shortly after moving to Utah, we happened to drive by a dog show and decided to stop and see what it was all about. As many of you know… that 1st exposure to a dog shows is all that it takes.
We have enjoyed several breeds over the years. Akitas, Australian Shepherds and finally settling into Beagles. Each breed has provided us with a unique learning experience, much success and total enjoyment. We have been fortunate to own top quality dogs. These many companions have helped us earn several titles and wins ranging from Champion (CH), Companion Dog (CD), Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Best of Opposite (BOS) at a national specialty and also twice at Regional Specialties, Best in Specialty Show (BISS) at a regional specialty, Group 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the all breed shows,Winners Bitch (WB) at Regional Specialties for 5 point majors, and our latest accomplishment was an Award of Excellence at the Eukanuba Invitational 2006. All wins were owner handled except for the BOS at the nationals. It also has opened the door to handle other breeds as well. But most of all, they provided us with a friendship and loyalty that is unmatched. Many are now gone, but not forgotten.
WELCOME TO BEOWULF!
We are a small show kennel located in Central Virginia. The origins of Beowulf date back to 1985 in Marlborough, Massachusetts and started with the Beagle bloodlines of Bridal Vale, Chrisette, Buglair and White Acres.
We strive to produce a pretty little hound that demonstrates elegant breed type. Most importantly these dogs must have the qualities of temperament that allow them to be an excellent companion animal.
Like most, our Beagles are comedians and engage in mischief on a regular basis. Our German Shepherd Dogs are also exhibited at conformation shows but take life a bit more seriously and thus have a full time job trying to keep the Beagles in line.
The perfect breed for anyone who truly appreciates the joy a good dog can bring into one’s life. For a family pet, 4-H companion or a top quality show prospect, we can help you find that special dog! The Beagle, bred for it’s keen ability to hunt, will use it’s incredible sense of smell to the great amusement of all. Loyal, loving, funny, curious, honest…all words that describe this wonderful breed. But remember, this is a hunting breed that has a very strong instinct to use it’s superior sense of smell. We require a fenced yard to keep your Beagle close to home and out of harms way. Curious as can be this breed will bring a smile to the face of one and all! E-Mail us today if you would like to know more about this breed or if you would like to visit with us and our dogs.
We have been breeding Beagles for over 40 years and have produced some of the top winning Beagles in the USA and in many other countries all over the World.
Throughout our site you will see pictures of our dogs both past and present. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact us – we do answer our email!
We are a small hobby kennel located in southwest Washington, just north of Portland, Oregon. We show and breed occasionally. We sometimes have puppies and adults available to the right home. Please read through the following pages and learn more about us and the Beagles we love.
Located in the Seattle area, “Talbot Hill” is a local reference as well as a nod to the Talbot Hound, an ancestor of the modern beagle that we know today.
