Our Irish Setters are part of our family.Our Dogs are OFA certified for hips and elbows, and tested to be genetically free of PRA, Clad and Vwd. In our future breeding program we will strive for happy, healthy offspring that look good and move well both in the field and conformation ring. We are members of the Irish Setter Club of America, the Irish Setter Club of Minnesota and the Indianhead Kennel Club of Eau Claire, WI.
My late husband David and I began breeding dogs in 1978 and in 1985 focused on Giant Schnauzers and West Highland White Terriers. My goal as a breeder is to raise healthy West Highland White Terrier puppies of excellent Westie temperament that are proper representatives of the breed. In that regard I have worked for over 25 years to be able to say that Westies born at OakTree are of excellent quality with a firm foundation of health and ‘Westietude.’At OakTree my mission has always been and will always be to provide the highest quality West Highland White Terrier puppies to select loving homes in a professional manner.
Our main goal has always been as serious breeders first. The dog shows are where we go to exhibit the results of our efforts. We are pleased that our dogs have won under many prominent judges at both specialties & all breed events.

Our love for dogs and raising healthy, loving puppies spans over 3 decades. It’s been, and continues to be, a privilege to share that with many people as they welcome their “new member” to their own family. We believe in raising healthy, social, and loving puppies so they can become a part of your family for many years. We’re very selective and particular in the genetics that we choose to breed. We also believe in excellent nutrition from puppy to geriatrics. We are around the puppies every day, providing them with lots of socialization.
