Our Labradors are a big part of our family and what we do.  We take full advantage of our newly developed wetland and family ponds for fun adventures, training, and swimming on hot days.  We have been blessed to enjoy many hunting opportunities.  Our labs have participated in AKC & HRC hunt tests and hunting trips for quail, pheasant, duck, geese, and dove here in Oklahoma and in many of the area states – Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Missouri.  Thank you for spending time on our website.

Puppy Dogs By Design is a small family owned kennel located in east central Oklahoma.  What started as a mother~daughter hobby in 1987, has grown into a passion and obsession for our canine friends.  Throughout the years, we have spent endless hours researching and selecting the perfect dogs to build our kennel.  Of course, health and temperament are of the highest priority to us, not to leave out conformation and beauty.  We both specialize within the breeds we have chosen to fit our personalities and families.

I acquired my first Irish Setter in 1989 from a pet store. (Not the recommended way to buy a dog!) She quickly stole my heart, and I fell in love with the breed. Unfortunately, I lost her several months later when some neighborhood children let her loose from her yard and she was killed by a car. I will never forget the pain… It was then that I set about finding another Irish Setter, this time from a reputable breeder. I only wanted a pet and bought a female with an overbite. The breeder of this girl sent me to go watch a dog show in my area. I was hooked immediately! I quickly acquired two more dogs for show. My show career was put on hold when I moved to Saudi Arabia to work at the American School. Of course, I took my dogs with me.

We are a small hobby breeder and believe in quality over quantity. All of our Japanese Chin puppies are handled daily by us and we delight in them! Our puppies are also used to being around cats. We breed for top show quality Japanese Chin and work to preserve the bloodline of beautiful Chin! We specialize in the small Imperial size puppies that are 5 to 7 pounds as adults but occasionally also have some puppies a little larger. We also occasionally offer Tiny Toy Teacup Japanese Chin puppies weighing only 3.00 to 4.50 pounds as adults.

My husband Ben Ball and myself – Tammy Ball have been raising dogs for over 22 years now. Our goal is to raise quality, healthy, happy, outstanding companions for many long years.  My dogs health and Kennel practices are all overseen by Dr. Vaughan McDowell. We are an American Kennel Club (AKC) compliant kennel which basically means our kennel is inspected, our records are inspected, our dogs are inspected, and our pups are DNA’d at the inspectors choice yearly.  We always pass our kennel inspection with flying colors and are told that we do it right.

We live in Fayetteville, Arkansas on top of a mountain.

We strive to raise quality Toy and Teacup Miniature Schnauzers. Our schnauzers are raised here on the farm where they are loved and cared for in our house. We are very focused on producing well socialized toy and teacup miniature schnauzer puppies, so all our schnauzer puppies are born and raised in our home being watched over carefully by our whole family. They are handled, loved and spoiled on a daily basis.
