Chihuahuas are excellent companions and therapy for those with special needs and health problems. Being a retired RN, I spend most of my time loving, living with and raising my Chihuahuas. It is my goal to produce a quality, healthy, hardy puppy YOU WILL BE PROUD TO OWN and that will give you up to fifteen years of pure Chihuahua pleasure. All puppies are guaranteed, sold by the Golden Rule, and are reasonably priced. They all come with full instructions, and I am available day and night to try to answer questions. We will ship if conditions allow safe travel to puppy’s new home.
We are located on a small farm in Southern Iowa near Lake Rathbun. My husband and I have 4 young kids, and we have been raising AKC English Mastiffs for over 14 years. Our comprehensive breeding program is designed to produce a very intelligent companion for the home. Making them easy to train and perform at the highest level in the home and hunting/pointing and retrieving birds. We also own and operate Duckwing Kennels which specializes in British Labradors from the UK.
We are a licensed breeding facility, in business since 1995, U.S.D.A. and state licensed and inspected. We pride ourselves on raising pet quality puppies with a full set of up-to-date vaccinations and wormings expected with a new puppy. We are inspected yearly by a licensed veterinarian who is on call twenty-four hours a day, for any unforeseen problems that might arise.Our dogs are housed in a heated, air conditioned building, with inside-outside runs, to maintain a healthy environment, with lots of care and attention at all times.
We built and own a small kennel in South Central Iowa and have been retired from the “rat race” since 2002. Rest assured that we take very good care of all of our puppies during the first 8 weeks (and beyond!) to ensure you are getting a healthy puppy. We are particular about who the prospective new owners are because we want all of our puppies to find a good, loving, and safe homes. We have been raising Beagles and Wheatens for over 25 years. We are USDA inspected and are also licensed by the state of Iowa.
Nick first began his dog adventures running in AKC field trials and Shoot to Retrieve competitions but then decided to start our breeding program in 1986 to focus on raising and selling the best quality German Shorthair hunting dogs in the United States and Canada.
We breed and show our Lhasas (on a limited basis) and have done so since 1975. We breed for confirmation, of course, but even more importantly, for temperament.Joyslyn’s was proud to earn the American Lhasa Apso Club (ALAC) Register of Merit Breeder Award in 1985.
We Currently Have 10 Moms & 2 Dads So Pups Expected Thru Out The Year.All have excellant Temperments, and are bred to bring out the Best of The Breed.All Pups Loved At Birth, potty pad training, doggy door training, and lots of socialization given.
Central Iowa Pups is a small operation making it possible to put our dogs first. Our boxers have a large yard to run in daily, and there are only three breeding females. We have very nice looking boxers with great attitudes and personalities, who love people, especially kids.
We also have eight shiba inu’s who keep us very busy with their independent ways, and entertaining personality. The shiba’s are great with each other and the other breeds. They love to be indoors unless it’s a beautiful day, or snowing outside. Shiba’s are very natural in snow in cold, making house breaking easy any time of the year.
