With our selective breeding program we have puppies that can be suitable for Show, Search & Rescue, Therapy Dogs, International competition and most of all Loving Family Companion and Protection Dogs. We offer ongoing support via email or phone, long after the puppy has left our home and come to live at your home.

We participate in American Kennel Club (AKC), United Kennel Club (UKC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), and International All-Breed Canine Association (IABCA) conformation showing, as well as performance disciplines such as Rally-Obedience, Formal Obedience, Barn Hunt, Coursing Ability, Agility, Scentwork, and Pack Hikes. My girls currently have over 120 different titles in conformation and performance and dozens of non-titling awards and achievements between the four adults. They have also been trained to do their traditional breed job of sniffing out rabbits and have competed in a few field trials.

Brushy Mountain Shorthairs is a farm and kennel located in the foothills of Western North Carolina. It is owned and operated by Ron Gaddy who has owned, bred and hunted AKC registered German Shorthaired Pointers since 1966.
