Our experiences with Shiba Inu began in the early 1980’s before they were a recognized AKC breed. We bred and owned the winner of the first Shiba National Club Specialty, a black and tan dog – NSCA Ch.Mokjusei Takeshi of Mokuseiso (AKA Sam). Ch.Frerose Black Eyed Susan was the First Shiba Inu in Canada to earn her Championship and was also the No.2 Shiba in Canada from the classes. We also bred and owned the first Male Canadian Champion Shiba Inu, Ch.Frerose Alfmeister, before AKC recognition. We bred the #1 American Bred Shiba for the first two years after AKC recognition. Ch.Frerose Tika Bear, 1993 – 1994 and we bred and owned the #1 Shiba from 1995-1999, Ch.Frerose Otomi, who is also the No.2 top winning shiba of all time. When Tomi retired, Ch.Frerose Big Oliver took over as No.1 from 2000-2003. Oliver earned his international Championship with 2 Group Ones and a Group Two. When Oliver retired, Ch.Frerose Good Will Hunter carried on in Frerose tradition by earning the title of No.1 Shiba Inu from 2004-2008 when he also retired. Hunter is the top winning Shiba Inu of all time. He finished his Canadian Championship with 5 group placements and No.3 Shiba for the year in Canada from the classes. We also imported the producer of three No.1 dogs – Otomi, Oliver and Rhondo as well as bred and owned their Dam, NSCA Ch.Frerose Punkin Pie, top producing bitch of all time. Both are Specialty Show winners. During our time in Shibas we have earned wins at Westminster K.C., the Eukanuba Invitational, as well as various Specialty Shows too numerous to name.
