Prairie Shiba’s is located on a ranch in SW Nebraska. We breed our dogs for the enjoyment and pleasure of producing healthy, happy, quality (to breed standard), Shiba Inus. Our puppies are socialized with children and animals. Including; cattle, cats and other dogs. Some of the facts you should know about us is that the care of our dogs, and that our puppy people come first at Prairie Shibas. We preform extensive health testing on our breeding stock. We are located Southwest Nebraska. We have been active breeders of the German Shepherd Dog for over 17 years and had been lifelong owners of German Shepherds on our acreage. Our goal is to produce German Shepherd that are sound of mind,healthy, good with children and protective in nature while maintaining the beauty of the German Shepherd dogs.
We health test all of the adult dogs before they are ever bred, dogs are not bred before the age of 2 years, and we stand behind what we sell for the life of the dog. Our females are only bred once a year to once every other year. Any hobby breeder will tell you that we decide to bring puppies into this world, therefore we are responsible for them for the rest of their lives. Hobby breeders sell all of their pet puppies on a spay/neuter contract as we do not want the world populated with Wheatens or Bouviers. All of our litters are AKC registered and all of the puppies’ parents are AKC comformation champions.
