My late husband David and I began breeding dogs in 1978 and in 1985 focused on Giant Schnauzers and West Highland White Terriers. My goal as a breeder is to raise healthy West Highland White Terrier puppies of excellent Westie temperament that are proper representatives of the breed. In that regard I have worked for over 25 years to be able to say that Westies born at OakTree are of excellent quality with a firm foundation of health and ‘Westietude.’At OakTree my mission has always been and will always be to provide the highest quality West Highland White Terrier puppies to select loving homes in a professional manner.

Welcome to Gratitude Farms Cane Corsos and African Boerboels. Our dogs are an extension of our family and are farm/family raised and socialized with our two boys. We are well known in our community as the “big dog owners”. We are dedicated to breeding for type and health with exceptionally sound temperaments. We are also heavily involved in rescue work which started before we ever began breeding dogs.
We are a small hobby farm located in beautiful rural northern Minnesota. Our goal is to breed AKC registered Collies by the AKC breed standard with excellent health, outgoing temperaments, high intelligence, and classic beauty and elegance. We are dedicated to striving for genetic soundness, confirmation, health, and temperament. The majority of our Collies are sold on limited AKC registration unless other arrangments have been made. We breed about four carefully planned litters per year.
Debby, Julie and Kaylee all became Register of Merit Breeders, a distinction awarded by the American Lhasa Apso Club, as well as American Kennel Club Breeders of Merit. Our friendship strengthened with each passing year…belief in upcoming puppies, exciting wins, fun times, trials, tribulations and more bottles of wine. Friendship inspired us to persevere, each offering encouragement when the other needed it, each being able to share with the other.
Vermilion Kennels is a small, in home show kennel located on about 8 acres of land just outside of Duluth, MN. Our home and dog yards are spacious and well suited to living with two active breeds, the Wheatens and Cardigans. The dogs all live in our home. Dogs have their own room for grooming needs as well as close access to the family room and my study for socialization.
