AKC Breeder of Merit

We are a small hobby kennel located in southwest Washington, just north of Portland, Oregon. We show and breed occasionally. We sometimes have puppies and adults available to the right home. Please read through the following pages and learn more about us and the Beagles we love.

We are hobby breeders breeding “show quality” but all of our dogs are family pets first and foremost.  We give equal consideration to Temperament, Health and Conformation, for a well balanced, healthy, family pet who will be a great representation of the Wheaten Breed.  We are not a “kennel” and breed a litter only occasionally, about once every 2 years or so. As a member of the SCWTCA, we breed only in accordance with the code of ethics.

At Romany Collies we strive to breed healthy, beautiful, and well tempered rough and smooth collies. We select for old-fashioned collie temperament and sensitivity; high intelligence and biddability; robust good health; proper structure; and of course, beauty.

Rome Kennels is a very small group of select dogs who are primarily pets, one or two of whom may be seen in a show ring from time to time.We will have Japanese Chin puppies this year, out of champion dogs. Please inquire if you are interested.

Located in Oregon on acreage outside of Oregon City, we have lots of room for our dogs to work and play. We strongly believe in early puppy socialization as well as evaluation testing to determine what their basic temperament is and which pups are most “birdy” so they can be properly matched with their prospective families.  Health and temperment are our priorities, but we are also proud of producing beautiful representatives of the breed.

We discovered Japanese Chin over 15 years ago. We are very careful to have health tests. We test for Hearts, Eyes, and Patella’s. They are all Certified by our veterinarian.We now have CHIC approved Japanese Chin. This means they have Certified Heart, Certified Eyes, and Certified Patella’s. We also have our first two Grand Champions, GCh JanLar UrChin Moonstone and GCh JanLar Bella’s Lavender.Our Japanese Chin live in our home they are our house flowers. They don’t live in a Kennel atmosphere.

Welcome to CK Boerboels, one of the first Oregon breeders for the South African Boerboel. We are located in the very green state of Oregon. Here we hope you can find anything you want to know about our dogs, the South African Boerboel. CK is very interested in the Boerboels working ability and work towards the perfect, well rounded dog. Boerboels love their families and want to be with, and protect them.

Redland Boerboels is located in the heart of maple forests near Abernethy Creek in rural Oregon City, Oregon. Our dogs are part of our family and are tried and tested in both conformation and utility work. Our goal is to produce Boerboels that are athletic and energetic, with outstanding temperaments and proven reliability that are excellent for home and personal protection and companion animals. Temperament, working ability, health and structural soundness are all equally important in our breeding animals.

My name is Elizabeth “Buzzy” Alfano. I have been breeding Miniature Schnauzers for over 45 years and showing for over 25. I have dedicated many years to the betterment of the Schnauzer breed, including public education as well as fund raising for and supporting Miniature Schnauzer health research. As a Veterinary Technician I am an advocate of breeding only healthy, health tested dogs, whose temperament and conformation represent the breed standard as set forth by the AMSC.

Bravakker means strikingly beautiful or stunningly beautiful. We desire only to raise Boerboels that are beautiful inside and out!   We want only the best tempered dogs in our breeding program.We have been so very blessed and fortunate with our Boerboels good nature, fantastic health, and gorgeous good looks. The offspring we have raised with them makes me smile and grateful to be apart of maintaining, and preserving this magnificent breed, the Boerboel.

Let me introduce myself! My name is Brenda Curtis and I am a retired environmental officer for my great state of Washington. My days are now spent with our beautiful Boston terrier dogs, our guardian mastiffs as well as our farm animals (horses, chickens, African grey parrot-rescue, and one tarantula) in Graham, Washington. We live on 10 acres with my Husband Terry, who was raised on a 75 acre ranch and is the owner of an established local construction company. Our dogs live in our home with us and have their own bedroom with comfy kennels to sleep in at night. We were both raised with traditional family values passed down from our farming ancestors. We are active in confirmation competition to help us to evaluate the success of our breeding program.

We are located in the great Pacific Northwest near Seattle Washington . Our #1 priority is to strive to breed exceptional quality Boerboels and loving companions for you and your family. We focus on health, temperament, and quality. We also want to make sure our Boerboels are going to loving families.  It is important to us that pups are going to homes in which they will receive the best care and attention.

We raise our dogs as part of the family.  They live in our home and have been socialized and hugged alot.  We are located in the northwest state of Washington.  We breed with the intent of improving the health and temperament of this charming breed.  We are in the show ring quite often with our next little Chin strutting their stuff.

We have been involved with breeding and showing since we got our first Chin in 1999. All of our dogs, puppies and adults, live in the house as our pets. We believe that this is best, as they were bred to be a companion dog and need to be in your company. As we usually breed only once or twice a year, we will occasionally have puppies available. Showing dogs has been a true joy!

I brought home my first Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier in July 2005. Mackanme Wheatens, Reg., is located in Gig Harbor, Washington, which is just over the Narrows Bridge from Tacoma, and about 40 miles from Seattle. All of our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC).  I chose this kennel name because Mack was our first Wheaten and, truly, everything started with Mack an Me!
