Cumbria Kennels is small, but select kennel that breeds scottish terriers to the standard. From just 13 homebred litters in 29 years, we have had multiple group and specialty winning successes here. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament and quality that is second to none.We are members of the Scottish Terrier Club of America and the Scottish Terrier Club of Michigan. Occasionally we do have puppies for sale, but more often we have retired champions that would be idealy suited to the right family.

Our first two Boerboels were obtained by us in 2003. Since then, we have produced some very nice litters of pups and some very awesome representations of the breed! We breed ONLY the natural, widely accepted colors in the breed. That being fawn, red and brindle. We do not breed controversial colored Boerboels such as piebalds, blues, solid blacks or whites, as these dogs tend to possess and produce more health issues as well as purebreed status may also be questionable.

As an AKC, CKC Breeder, I take my dogs and puppies very seriously. Meaning all of my puppies come with a contract, all good breeders do this as well. It is a great way to insure healthier dogs and pups, and that dogs and pups don’t end up in the wrong hands or in shelters! All of my dogs go through genetic health testing along with routine vet care before I even decide to breed any of our dogs. All of my dogs are registered with AKC Kennel Club and are Champions or Champion lined.
Regal Shibas is a small Hobby/Show kennel in
Michigan. All of our dogs are a part of our family,
whether they live in the house or out in the kennel
building. We keep it small so we have time for each
and everyone of them. At times our daughter handles
these dogs in the ring, so they must always be kind
and loving companions as well as great show dogs.
We always breed to improve, so Pedigree, Health,
Temperament and Type is of great importance to us.
Our goal in our breeding program is to produce a few
litters each year to pick out our next Champion, and
the remainder of the puppies are placed only as
Family Companions on a Spay/Neuter contract. We
