I have owned Wheatens since 1982, and I have been breeding Wheatens since 1992. I am active in the world of Wheatens and dog showing and I am an involved member of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America. I feel certain that I would not have persevered, nor been successful in showing and breeding, without the guidance of Marjorie Shoemaker, who continues to be a guiding force in my breeding efforts.

Our hounds have 24 hours a day access to the one acre-big securely fenced back yard via a dog door and they all live as one pack. That’s why, when breeding, we pay close attention to producing happy, friendly dogs with easy going temperaments. Health issues are of paramount importance for us too and we do careful health evaluation of our breeding stock that includes DNA testing for breed specific disorders.
We were blessed to start our breeding program with exceptional breed specimens that resulted from dedication and hard work of many generations of breeders in this country and around the world. Now it is our turn to share our success with fellow breeders – our beagles are making an impact in show rings and whelping boxes not only in Western hemisphere but in many European countries as well.
I started showing collies in 2000. I am a member of the Collie Club of America, Collie Health Foundation, and the Mason-Dixon Collie Club. My dogs participate in conformation, herding, and agility. They are also certified therapy dogs and we visit nursing homes.I breed not only for conformation and performance but health and temperament are an important component of my breeding program.
We have had dogs all of our lives and they are such a big part of our family. We are deeply in love with this breed and the decision we made of adding a Boerboel to our family was the perfect fit for our property and home.
My name is Gille Talley II and my father’s name is Gile Talley I. Together we own and operate Mid Atlantic Boerboels.After years of research we acquired our first Boerboel in 2008. We continue to show the breed a few times a year. Our confirmation preference is a Boerboel with a large size, large head, and well muscled physique without losing athleticism or agility.We also want to stress the importance of a great temperament and good health in all of our dogs. Emergency Veterinarian Hospital in Washington, DC. Kim is a Certified Aviclturist Level 1 via The American Federation of Aviculture, Inc. She is the heart beat & soul of Dream Team Kennels!
We have been involved with this breed for over 23 years and what started as a small hobby for me—still is, but is definitely a passion today.
